Audio uplink was done using regular 2-way transmission on 145.510MHz (2meter simplex).
Video transmissions were through the K6BEN amateur television (ATV) station repeater. CARES transmitted to K6BEN (about 10 miles away) using a VideoLynx Z23B (2 watts RF power) and a high gain loop yagi raised 30 feet to clear buildings. This reception was taped on a VCR located elsewhere in Silicon Valley (about 11 miles away), and edited for this clip to youtube.
