basically, i use a commercial racing pigeon mix, which is 15%..it contains whole yellow corn, red milo, winter wheat, safflower, maple peas, canadian peas, austrian peas and millet..to that i add extra safflower,(since we grow alot of it in my area).i also add a wild bird seed, which is mainly black sunflower, millet, and wheat, which i get a walmarts.. i also add brown rice, and chicken pellets..(purina, layena, eggina).. when i start racing i dont use the pellets anymore..
