honestly, i'm sorry for this right here: but fuck off with that stupid advice. it's the worst advice ever and everyone thinks its the best.

it's not that he doesn't like digg, it's that he doesn't like how its run. what he's doing with this video is showing how a place he enjoys is becoming needlessly less enjoyable, and he cares enough for it to talk about ways he wants it to change.

That's true, but if you post an interesting enough video and maybe use good tags, you can still get plenty of comments and a few thousand views, with having zero friends or knowing how to start. On Digg, you can post an amazing article, but not a single person will Digg it if you don't have friends, or the right friends, because you never see it. Your point's still relevant of course, but I think the problem is more rampant on Digg.

I wish there were Digg forums to complain about this. Whereas once I thought of Digg as an internet haven for news, I have gotten SO sick of only being able to read the top stories, and even the "upcoming section" is still lacking. In the last month there have been at LEAST ten articles about..villains. Villains in 80's cartoon shows, badass video game villains. "10 Actors that played crappy movie villains". Are you KIDDING me? I'm SICK of it, these should never have made the top page.
