Rocket stove experiments. Explanation of soot problems, plus a simple heat exchanger, which didn't work well.

  • I think the heat exchanger would work if the base of the pan had better surface contact with the plate The screw heads will cause lose of conduction, I think you would have to weld the nails to some flat plate steel to get it to work better, but it would take more wood to heat it all up like you said . Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing.

  • @TheMimeChef I don't have a welder, or I would have welded the nails onto the plate. Most people don't have a welder, and I try to use tools for my projects most people have so they can duplicate what I do if it's worthwhile.

    Also, how about a thumb's up, or even down?

    I don't have a welder either, just a thought.
