Billy Emerson managed to get a contract at Sun thanks to the efforts of Ike Turner. He wrote this classic in 1955 and it was a take off on an old cheerleaders chant from his school days. It was later of course turned in to rockabilly dynamite during 1957 by Billy Lee Riley on the very same label and Bob Luman on Imperial. One of the great 50s songs without question.
