So should you choose a Strip or Cross cut Shredder?
For every-day security use, a straight cut machine which cuts paper into strips may suit. However, for complete peace of mind and a higher level of security, a cross cut model is recommended as it cuts the paper into tiny unreadable pieces!

There are currently six security levels to choose from, level 1 is the lowest and least secure offering a wide strip cut, to the highest level 6 as specified by the US Government for ultra secure shredding for the most sensitive of documents
