The crash was different in the film "Alive".... the film was mirrored (left was right) and the plane hit a second peak after the first which caused the plane to lose its other wing.

"canibalism" is not only a "strong" word we sure know but survival is way greater and better... 45 heroes... of martirdom... some saints among them ... one great miracle is that what 30inventionman posted is not stuped at all, I agree w/ him...but beeing able to escape like Nando and Future Uruguayan President Dr.Canessa can be a better deal... all45are saved... amazing how we feel part of it !

Actually, that's not that accurate if you read the accounts from the survivors. They indicated that the tail broke off seperately from the wings, and that the port (left) wing broke off during a seperate impact with another part of the moauntain.
