Alan Jones, Oakey Meeting, Pat Devlin speaks about the proposed Xstrata
open cut coal mine at Wandoan Queensland. This coal mine will destroy large areas of Class "A" cropping land, and will be the largest coal mine in the southern Hemisphere. Metro Coal "Owned by the Chinese Government" is planned for south of Wandoan and will stretch from Gulugabah to North of Roma, this foreign owned coal mine will be twice the size of the Xstrata Open Cut Coal Mine.
