Not trying to disrespect the dead but Al Jourgensen had a richer, more dynamic, more heterogeneous catalog through the years than Michael Jackson, plus I never saw Michael Jackson play the wide array of instruments that Al has (guitar, keyboard, mandolin, I mean who makes a mandolin sound bad ass?). Al will probably die not recognized for what he deserves.

smallfatty,
No Ministry = no Nine Inch Nails. Without Al's influence and dare I say help (1000 Homo Djs, Rev. Co, etc), Trent would have amounted to very little.
That being said, without Skinny Puppy and Kevin Oglvie's help, Al would not have progressed the way he did.

@612Crewz Check the date.....I posted it when Michael Jackson died. Not weird at all.
-
@d00derman Al is alive and about to tour again, weird analogy you've came up with.
-
@ranrio70 Well, if that's what you really want. My mom is kind of a castrating bitch, though. Just a fair warning.
-
@gangurobitch I know. Next time I'll ask your toothless mother to give me and Al a hummer and we'll both be in a better mood. Then again life is always easier with a good hummer.
-
@ranrio70 He probably would have been nicer if you'd offered to give him a hummer. Of course, then you'd have to deal with a jealous Paul, but life is never easy.
-
@TheUndert0ker And then they made sweet, sweet love to each other.

@777Lateralus Good to know, thanks for sharing your experience.
-
@d00derman But he couldn't dance like MJ.... nobody can.
-
@Aggiechilds You correctly cite Skinny Puppy, but nobody here seems to remember Big Black. I've always thought that Jourgenson's transformation in the late 80's was heavily influenced by stuff like "Racer X" and "Jordan Minnesota". I disagree about Trent Reznor, though. He was destined to succeed on his own terms and ultimately I'd say he's been more influential than Ministry. After the "Mind" album, Ministry did nothing but coast.
