The Observer Music Monthly's Sean O'Hagan spent 18 months following U2, from Fez to Dublin, as they recorded their new album New Line On The Horizon. Part one of our world exclusive film captures the band beginning sessions in a converted riad. In part two, next week, the band continue recording in Dublin, New York and London, and you can read the full interview and story of the album in next week's OMM

  • Albums are certainly not free to make. I don't know where you got that idea.

  • They're Roland NOT Yamaha. If you really owned the kit you would know that. I have the TD12 kit.
