  • is there any way that you can sell an old newspapers

  • I 'spect, but no idea who'd want 'em. I see stuff like this at antique stores sometimes..

  • gotta watch those commy drug hopped reds! lol

  • Yea, I guess political correctness didn't apply then, eh?

  • I am a goof about stuff like this, I get a charge out of letting the air out of a tire that has been sitting and traped for 40 years, LOL. Once I called on a 1966 add for a 55 chevy CV that was overpriced for then to see if its sitting in a barn and didnt sell, it was the same guy and he laughed and said it didn't sell for $1500 in '66 but he sold it in the '70's...I love looking at the old H R adds in the back of old Hot Rod mags...like '53 corvettes or 34 fords under a grand, LOL

  • Yea, I remember reading a commentary by Tex Smith in Rod Action the first time a street rod sold for over 10k. He was predicting what we see today, streetrods that are way out of anyone's budget, and describing it as possibly a deathnell for the sport. He had some insight.. Wonder if he invisioned the day rat rods would come on the scene, as a result.. haha

  • cool thannks for sharing

  • my parents bought a house built in 1901 and when they pulled up the carpet there was some papers from the 20's and 30's so my dad picked some of the best articles and ads and framed them and hung them around the house, we also had an old radio so he cut out some of the radio channel lists from the paper and hung them above the radio, I loved that house. kinda spookie at night though, for 10 years our only heat was a cast iron stove in the living room.

  • looks like the newspapers were used as carpet padding. What a novel way to preserve them. They were in pristine shape. No yellowing.

  • Ah man that's awesome. I wish I could find some old stuff lying around

  • Cool find !!
