CO Gov Ritter Refuses to Endorse Waxman Markey

Colorado Gov Bill Ritter, testifying before the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee on July 21, 2008 refused to endorse the Waxman-Markey global warming climate change bill.

The average person has been misled and is confused about what the current Global Warming debate is about, greenhouse gases. None of which has anything to do

with air pollution. People are confusing Smog, Carbon Monoxide (CO) and the pollutants in

The climate impact of U.S. greenhouse gas emissions prescribed under Waxman-Markey is very small—best case it reduces projected global warming by less than one-tenth of a degree Fahrenheit by 2050 and only about one-third of a ºF by centurys end—a reduction that is scientifically meaningless. This is regulation for regulation's sake, and is at odds with the economic wealth needed to adapt to a future that cannot be centrally planned by politicos.
