Is there a difference between religious art and graven idols? Do all graven images fall under breaking the second commandment?

  • There is a statue of Jesus, Mary, saints etc... in every church that are worshiped and prayed to. The statue of Jesus in Rio that is in your vid is worshiped. Jesus and god are the same, so these statues of Jesus are statues of god. Therefore, you have created graven images of god and worshiped them.But that doesn't even matter, because god does not even exist. You want to make a good vid, make one showing empirical evidence for your god.

  • @ReligousTruth Statues are not prayed to in every church. Perhaps in some churches people do those things but not in all (I know what you are referring to though). For example, I am Mormon and we do nothing of the sort. The Bible says to pray to no one but God and certainly not to statues. Our statues, etc are artwork only, although there is sometimes symbolism involved.

    You claim God does not exist, but that statement cannot be proven. God's existence is known by spiritual means.

  • Amen, good for you for finding the truth, praise be the Father for leading you to it, blessed be Christ for the Holy Spirit He has shared. Stay strong and persistent in reading the word always thanking God the Father and Jesus Christ for the Holy Spirit as well as asking for more of the Living Water until you are one with God in Spirit, Bless you my brother.

  • @ChristopherMillz now why would i be worried about your choices. lol naive carry on with your religion.

  • @AharonBenYsrayl Don't worry. I'm a careful person. There is good art and bad art... agreed. Nevertheless, there is good religious art.

    Joseph was a mason but he did not stay one. Masons are found in every religion and and even among the leaders of them. There are pentragrams on one of our temples but I don't think it is for you to interpret. It does have a Christian meaning though and has historically had many different meanings.

  • @AharonBenYsrayl I study symbols and they all go back to anchient babylon nimrod / saturn worship. the father knows nothing good about these symbols and so do i. you can try to hang onto them but he says you are wrong. and you dont need religion it is just what the definition says. to bind you, make you rely on it. when all we are called to do is follow the book. i pray you figure it out.

  • @ChristopherMillz and why do you think they put those images in the art? its called sorcery / witchcraft they get you to accept things you wouldnt normally accept. mind control / brain washing. well you can choose what ever you like but in the end if you find out you were wrong, forever is a long time to think about what you should have done.seek the truth!

    joseph smith was a mason, that means its still run by masons, and the worship satan. thats why pentagrams are on your church.

  • @AharonBenYsrayl I am aware that some artists have, throughout history, hidden things of the sort in their artwork (eg: Little Mermaid cover). Other times, I think people are trying too hard to find something that is not there and misinterpret the artwork. I think what you are saying is that we should all use good judgement and I agree with that.

  • @AharonBenYsrayl and most "religious art" has satanic embeds showing the true worship. hidden phallics / penises and demons and homosexuality. check out a video called "rape of the soul" you dont know what your involved in, and you are teaching satanic doctrine. If you study masonry you will see it lines up directly with Mormonism. you are on the wrong road im just trying to tell you.

  • Yeah I saw this. 1st no such thing as religion in the bible. just laws statutes an commandments. an you are teaching against them. relig ( āre ) to tie, fasten ( re- re- + ligāre to bind, tie; (to rebind retie) same as "rely" relig ( āre ) to tie, fasten.. to bind, tie;

    religion is to hold you, bind you!

    If you in religion you are lost already because you dont know the true worship. SATAN!

    U either obey the father or U R a servant of satan. NO middle ground.
