The Transportation Cabinet's Department of Vehicle Regulation recently celebrated the one year anniversary of its Customer Service Center. The Customer Service Center provides a single point of contact for people seeking assistance with driver licensing, motor vehicle licensing or motor carrier issues. The Customer Service Center is staffed by 24 specifically-trained professionals. On average, the center receives over 8,000 calls per week. In its first year, the center received nearly 350,000 calls. It's anticipated that more calls will be received in 2012 because Customer Service Center operations were phased-in throughout this year. The center is open weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Customer Service Center number is 502-564-1257.
