Flash Powder tests. with KMnO4

Different types and different quantities. My main goal was to try out my KMnO4/Al/S flash powder. I heard it is very sensitive to actually everything and very unreliable. I used 8 parts KMnO4, 1 part Al (400mesh), 1 part S. I am not sure if this is the actual composition because my older scale is really unreliable. Anyway I think the tests were successful. Perhaps the flash powder was not of high quality but at least you can see how unreliable it is. Imagine mixing KMnO4 with German dark Al of about 4000 mesh!! I also tried out a mixture of KMnO4 and sulfur since with KClO4 this creates a very pretty bright red flame and wanted to see what happened with KMnO4.

you are smar for using such small quantities of this mixture but you are also sending a very dangeorus message to a lot of the idiot kids that watch these videos. KMno4 has NO place in pyrotechnics, fireworks, M80's even. I really hope you arent mixing larger amounts dude.

@MrBillLumberg dont worry I made this video just for this purpose, to show that the normal al/kclo4 flashpowder is way more powerful and safer than kmno4.

Hey if u want to try my ratios i use this in M80s and they are ridiculously loud i go for 70g KMn04 30g Al 15g S 10g Mg

@lemonsith I think still the best flashpowder compo is 70/30 Kclo4/Al best in safety and quality :P Also costs less I believe XD

that shit burns slower then my BP... Once I wanted to test the reactivity of kmno4 so i mixed it 6/4 with sulfur, wen hit with a rock, the shit detonated and blew the rock to peices.... i dont use that stuff anymore, to damn risky
