I managed to track down the TS "Welcome Back Commander", but I've had no luck finding the C&C3 quote.
But it's really fun hearing that when I log on. My desktop slideshow has the GDI, Nod, Scrin, and the new C&C logos. I've also got a tiberian crystal growth, and a wallpaper with the C&C3 Welcome Back Commander screen.
I'd set my taskbar as a sidebar, but it looks kinda funny to me that way.

Everytime I saw the bit at the start I was thinking oh for god's sake I've just installed the game! ;)

The idea behind this was, I believe, that the EVA from TD is updating itself.
And it's all nicely executed. As if EVA was installed on your PC and is upgrading to a newer version.
