COURTENAY - Grief-stricken parents were held back by sheriff's deputies at the Courtenay courthouse this morning as their son's accused killer made his first court appearance.
19-year-old James Denton was stabbed to death after a concert in the Comox Valley on Saturday night.
James was a graduate of Highland Secondary School.
His accused killer is just 16-years-old and is now facing a charge of first-degree murder.
