Was this layout in a model rail magazine? It looks familiar except it was a NCB colliery and was mainly steam.

Aye...it was in Model Rail about 7 years ago. It has been rebuilt to the extent that only one original building remains. It is now DCC, has slow acting point motors, new fiddle yards etc etc. I bought it from a club down south. A year later a member of that club moved to Scotland and joined our club. He couldn't bear to be apart from it. Has just undergone a rewire and has all new scenic lighting etc. First trip out in the v4.0 form is East Kilbride show in 10 days time.

Hi. Is it possible for you to tell me what you used for grond cover and ballast between the fence and the class 20 at the start of the video please. It looks so real.

Hi
The base is the usual expanded polystyrene under structure overlaid with the really old fashioned felt carpet underlay. This is glued down and then teased up, dyed with paints and covered with various grades of Woodlands Scenic flock and the like. The effect gets better with layers and with age!

Hi Joe Yes we will, with Airthrey Park. Most of the fleet shared between the two so you will get different scenery but the same racket!!
