Old School female gamer here...almost 50 now. I began with the Radio Shack TRS-80 played "Dungeons of Daggorath"..then Pong, Pac Man, Centipede, Zaxxon, Donkey Kong...sooo many & not quite in that order. My list goes on:) Played D & D with a Dungeon Master & 3 other players in a small..but cool arse room. Had kids & now they are gamers who attend Blizzcon tourneys, Ota, Comic & KatsuCon's. We ALL love W of the Eternal Sun & will play it at anytime to this very day:) Gamers rule!

Ooh. This brings back memories. I remember the time I made a party of two Fighters and two Dwarves (with a man and a woman from each Class, just so I could tell them apart). They couldn't cast spells, backstab or disarm traps worth a damn, but by Ka they would absolutely pulverize anyone foolish enough to greet them in melee.
Good times. :)
So recording YouTube videos off my old Sega Genesis would require me to somehow run my Genesis through my computer monitor, right?

Anyone else had a problem with this game not saving? I would play for hours as a kid and sure enough would be told to get off before i could finish it did i just have a faulty copy or was this a widespread issue?

SPOILER WARNING:
I hate to give anything away because this is one of the best RPGs ever made, but you eventually do find help at the bottom of the fire caves. Takes some doing though and a few trips out of the valley first.

Never completed this game. Can someone tell me how you actually got those allies?
man..the song at 1:15 always gets me pumped beyond belief. I want to punch somebody in the face whenever I hear it.

Actually you are way off. I can recall game music from C64 games but I cannot recall most of the new music because it is all fluff without a soul.
Back then you really had to compose since the hardware was so limited , only a good soundtrack could save the day....
