Without understanding Korean you can't fully judge a Korean rapper. Sure, you can spot things like flow and you can notice when they rhyme some words. You can't really judge the creativity that goes into the rhymes though. Even a lot of praised Korean rappers (not just mainstream) have really stale rhymes IMO. Maslo has the most fresh Korean rhymes I've ever heard. If you listen to GD and don't understand Korean or rap, you won't notice the lack of originality in his rhymes.

GD, Maslo, and Dok2. They're all rappers, sure, but they appeal to completely different audiences. GD appeals to the teenage girl, mainstream scene with KPop songs, while Maslo and Dok2 appeal to the underground hip-hop scene. It's that simple. Stop comparing the two and stop dissing artists. If Maslo and Dok2 wanted to be mainstream, they could. I personally don't think GD has enough rapping talent to be prominent in the underground, but whatever. He's good at what he does.

seriously, this song is good.. and the guy obviously has mad skills.. stop comparing him to gd.. they're two different people with different styles.. why do people always have to be hating and writing shit about other people? can't we just appreciate their talent and leave nice comments about the artist?? this is maslo's song.. so talk about HIM.. no need to be hating on gd..

@SanSyJFreak I did listen to and read all of the lyrics. I think he's a good rapper, he has great flow and abilities. But I don't like the fact that he has to include that context in his rap, as do many American rap stars. And I'd prefer you didn't write to me in such a childish way. We're both intellectual beings, are we not?

Even I,the massive BIGBANG fan I am(or was) admit that whatever GD might've had,he's gone so mainstream I feel like O.O

He's been given too much freedom from YG.I love him,he's a great man,humble etc,working for charity,but his talent isn't exactly building up...

can someone tell me who is Seoul Connection, I know who budda baby crew is but also I'm a little confused about why they have crews, I have very very very little acess to underground korean rap. I really love listening to people who know something about reality, like epik high, outsider, and etc.
