  • This is a 4.7l right?

  • Yeah, it's not a huge engine but it flies with 10 psi of boost.

  • just wondering what turbo you went with i have a 2000 dakota quad cab with the 4.7 flowmasters it sounds good but i got the ok from the wife to put a turbo on it

  • It's actually a supercharger...but if you are looking at turbos, good luck, they are hard to find for a truck like this. However, STS makes a remote mount turbo system that can be custom fitted to almost any vehicle...

  • I mean my truck is fasssttttt!!! I got from davie (exit 26 on I-95 ) to northlake (exit 77) in 33 minutes!!! A Benz E-55 amg kept trying me but i showed him wasssup with the 4x4 dodge. So like i was saying in my previous comment, where do you get this pulley and is it worth it? Will i need to lower my compression? I think i hit right about 7 or 8 psi in 3rd and 4th gear while passing in the highway and it knocks a little bit. Is it worth it?? Thanks, look for the video soon!

  • I have the same truck...kinda lol. A few days ago I STOLE a 2002 Dakota Sport ext cab 4x4 with 106,000 miles in excellent condition (int. & ext.) for less than 6 grand out the door!!!! Oh and it already had a kenne bell, exhaust, headers, K&N ram air CAI, and a few other goodies installed as well as the same type of knock sensor you have. I just ordered tires and as soon as they come in and i get em mounted i'll upload a video. Question though, how much and where can you get a "10 psi" pulley?

  • damn nice exhaust! what are you running?

  • u should buy a SRT8 badge cuz that sounds like an SRT8.

  • @jonesfam02 im glad your wife gave you the ok to boost your car.

  • Oh MaN. I had 257,000 miles on it. Girl run out in front of me. Its totalled. Her insurance is giving 5k for it. I will not find a vehicle as dependable for that.

  • how did you tune that?

I have a supercharged ram and am having a hard time figuring out how to tune it

  • @chrisbmxhowto and PS. My 2002 dakota is faster than the 1983 and 1/2 mustang GT I own. Take off and top end. It doesnt outrun everything but it is quick enough and has low RPM's on the interstate. The only problem I have with this truck is headlights. I have to change them twice a year. I am a machinist and have access to all torx bits and I can not find the right size so my headlamps are pretty much stripped out. So stay away from Walmart headlamps or youll be changing them regularly.

  • @chrisbmxhowto I'm just saying if you are old and dont care about hotrods anymore get a dakota, it has enough power to do want you want, yes the Ram has more but cost more, but the dakota with the 4.7 will be enough to get the job done. I pull a pontoon and cant tell its back there except under braking. What I was getting at is dodge makes a good truck and when you get old this supercharged stuff dont mean a thing. But I do miss My 70 Nova with the 383 stroker, but not that much.

  • @fromundaphil You must not have much trash to haul. Putting a bed frame in the back of a truck doesn't count as hauling, if you're going to haul something, and want dodge, get a ram.
