Sadly, nature and animals always get the last consideration ! How much materialism does it take? We pump million$ into casinos and shopping malls and we lose the important and necessary need to be a part of nature.

This was one of my favorite places to go when I was a kid... almost 50 years ago! I too am saddened by its' closing.

it's a crying shame that any goverment would allow something of this importance to just go away because of funding. talking about a resaon to leave this city.
