I'll say what I always say when someone references this effect: that creature is too goddamn scary compared to the rest of the film (the scene where Jeffrey Jones recharges from a cigarette lighter too). In the theater I was in, mothers were grabbing their terrified children and hoisting them, screaming, out of the theater. Way to go, guys.
