The aftermath of 2005's Hurricane Katrina took a toll on Six Flags, New Orleans, LA formerly known as JAZZLAND. This abandoned Amusement Park is now completely deserted and left to decay.

  • @TheKelseynHayleeshow A fundraiser for a for-profit company probably would not do well. I understand the sentiment; just don't expect to see a barn-raising for a McDonalds.

  • the one thing that annoys me is the fact that people vandalized this place with graffiti.

  • As of now, the city of New Orleans owns the park. The amusement park company Southern Star Amusement has gone public with plans to fix the park up. They won't sign into a lease until they have taken possession of the property, started the cleanup process, and provided proof of funding to the city. In the meantime, the city of New Orleans has proposed several ideas for the former six flags property including an outlet mall and a green-themed amusement park.
