Set the required number of barriers up to a height where the participant can maintain perfect jumping mechanics on both the leaping and the landing. Stand in front of the first barrier with feet flat on the floor and shoulder width apart, toes pointed straight. Push into the floor as hard as you can through the balls of your feet and using your arms accelerate yourself upward and tuck your knees slightly to enable barrier clearance. Land softly letting your knees and hips recoil like a spring. Minimize ground time and explode back up and over the remaining barriers. JUMPING AND LANDING POSITION SHOULD LOOK EXACTLY THE SAME. REMAIN ON BALANCE AT ALL TIMES. AT NO POINT SHOULD YOUR KNEES CAVE INWARD.
DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS EXERCISE UNLESS YOU HAVE BEEN CLEARED BY THE STRENGTH COACH.
