What can I say that hasn't been said already? This has got to be the best cake decorating instructional video I seen yet. I feel like you really focused on teaching rather than gloating. Thank you. I will definitely subscribe. I would hate to miss any future videos that you make.

great video!!! I tried following it last time but used buttercream with out butter. I checked out your kids buttercream recipe and was wondering how much does it yield in lbs and cups??

could you post the recipe the blog aint working for me

This was so helpful! You broke the process down in steps that we, amatuers, can really understand and likely apply. I also liked that you focused solely on smoothing the buttercream instead of talking about a million other things or possibilities that we tend to get from other tutorials. Thanks so much! I need one of the metal side scrapers now!

Thanks for the video!

AMAZING
I don't know, and that's just honest :) It will also depend on how much you whip it. It's enough for a normal 9" cake and you can freeze leftovers. I'm no cookbook author :)

With so many coats doesn't the icing end up really thick??

@CyanideAndChocolate - I guess "thick" is subjective, but no, it's not thick at all. Even though you are applying a few coats, they are thin coats.
