  • We're all born atheists, Christians are just indoctrinated morons that don't have the ability to shake off what they have been told...pfft, Come on, people! Think it through!!

  • I think Jesus, whether he existed or not, said and thought some pretty cool things. I beleive a lot of f'ed up people missed the point of his teachings. I do not follow him but I like to think He is walking with me along with Socrates and other great thinkers. He was a rebel, a thinker and some people forgot that. Attack them, not Jesus.

  • I agree with the morals and the basics standards of society that have come out of religion, but those are just rules that keep are society from raping itself to death. There is nothing wrong with taking meaning from any kind of mythical scripture to take a lesson of life from it, but they should be treated as story's with multiple interpretive meanings, not tangible "truth".

Nothing more than tales for children.

  • The only two problems I see with your story is...

    1) There is no actual historical evidence that he DID exist. He may have existed, but you can't say he DID exist.

    2) He plainly states that he'll send you to hell for eternity for not believing in him. Doesn't sound too swell for me.

  • fucking great!!!! id love to have that shirt...or at least a bumper sticker of it.

  • Okay, how's this for a theory:

Jesus DID exist. Just throw all that son of God bull out the window. He was just a friendly guy who saw that most people lacked a decent code of morals. He had a few ideas as to how people ought to treat each other, but how could he get the masses to listen to a poor carpenter? The answer: Magic tricks.

To paraphrase Douglas Adams, he was just a guy who got nailed to a tree for saying how great it would be to be nice to people for a change.

  • I personally don't believe that Jesus Christ existed.

  • The only way to be sure something is real is with independent verification by impartial investigators using scientific testing methods. Without that check no claim can be completely verified and if a claim can't be properly verified then you shouldn't be basing your life on it, brainwashing children with it, starting wars over it, discriminating against people over it and teaching it in schools or basing laws on it.

The fact that Jesus was never mentioned by a single historian is pretty clear.

  • Man I agree with what you just said but lolz... Look at it now, Criss Angel walked on water.. If he said he was god... People would believe him... Jesus Christ is no one to worship just a Criss Angel of their time...

  • Besides, the Bible is not film footage. It's just some writing. If I wrote "I walked on water yesterday" in a diary, then tomorrow someone found it, would it be sensible of them to assume that I had actually walked on water?

  • No, absolutely not. Let's look at the possibilities. Either:

    1. The account is incorrect. (In this case, the footage is false, involves trickery, or something similar).

    or:

    2. We have discovered a man with the power to disregard the laws of physics in allowing himself, despite his high density:surface area ratio, to walk on water without being submerged in the same manner as a normal person.

Since the laws of physics, by definition, cannot be broken, we have only one option.
