I was in the Pride for 5 years and I loved when we went to rival schools only to get "bood" on the field and a standing ovation after the performance. I was in the colorguard and miss it so much!

@abogad0 The first one Certainly wasn't in 2002, WVU's band won it 1997.. lol.

(continuing comment). So, I don't think *any* LSU fan would *ever* say that WVU Band "put our band (LSU) to shame...," more like, "Hey there's a band that is as high-quality as ours." Just sayin'.

I just noticed this video, seven months late. The WVU band is very good... and all us LSU fans enjoyed the show, great job! Just to put it in perspective: we love marching bands, and when a great one comes in, we cheer them on. At the same time, ya gotta give a little lovin' to the LSU Golden Band as well, as they are considered by those who know, as one of the finest bands in the land (we won the first-ever Sudler Trophy for best College band, 2002).

So I'm in this band, and I can't lie. I still get chills watching us perform. I'm in the colorguard, and running out of the Simple Gifts circles is so much fun. I love The Pride.

During the performance, the LSU fans around us appeared stunned at how good our band was. There were multiple unsolicited outbursts of "oh my" "God, they're good" "they put our band (LSU) to shame". The band did look very good that night too!

@tslogin lol i dont know about the "they put our band (LSU) to shame" part but i was very impressed at how good the WVU band did. That was the first time i had seen them in person and it was a great first impression.
