Gov. Rick Snyder's proposed budget would cut spending for public schools, universities and local governments while ending many personal tax exemptions, the governor told The Associated Press on Wednesday, a day before he was to present the proposal to lawmakers.

  • We keep paying more every year to schools, and we repeatedly receive less. It is about time we reverse the trend.

    I for one love the pension income being taxed. It is about time that the private and the public sectors were treated fairly.

    We should consider cutting the state cars, and just do a mileage reimbursement instead.
