@ladit80sbaby It sucked because I REALLY couldn't understand it as a kid. I was a chubby kid, not fat, and I came from a family of mostly stick figures! My aunts (the fat ones) would say HORRIBLE things to me. I remember one time I had finished my dinner and they asked me if I wanted more. I said that I didn't and one of them said something like you might as well, you're always going to be fat. You don't say shit like that to ANYONE, let alone a child!! I was only 10!

The Velvet Rope was about JANET; it was an audio journal of what SHES been through, what SHE enjoys, what SHE believes, &how she feels. Im sure Janet cares about MJ, but she explained she didn't really see him during their careers. She's her own woman, and this song was about her journey and NOT Michael's. This song helped me A LOT when I was a teenager. It's weird because I was never ridiculed and bullied in school by any other children in school, but it was my family who has put me through HELL, the adults in my family!!! I could never understand it.
