So I'm watching this wack ass ACLJ radio show on TBN for laughs when this commercial comes on about christian chaplains and how we need to pray hard for them. Boo hoo poor christians! Everybody beats up on the poor christians...(yawn) Forget about the crusades? Or the Spanish Inquisition? Anyway, Here's the commercial...BTW there's a mispelling at the end of the spot...(sigh) ignorance AND stupidity...

i don't see why this is a stupid thing.regardless of your religion or opposition to religion this shouldn't appear stupid. military chaplains probably need prayer.have you lived a Christian life in the army/military?im supposing not.correct me if i am wrong please.but i doubt that you have the experience and/or intellect to objectively and fully explore the situations that this advertisement was perhaps referring too without simply relying on your own prejudicial thoughts.

I studied for the priesthood actually. I didn't like the whole "Hey, don't worry about what's going on in the world god will take care of it." Organized religion is a form of control. Oh and hey you spelled "to" wrong as well. You still have to use your brain. God doesn't think for you...

The crusades and inquisition were started by Catholics. Catholics are not true christians. They are corrupt just like TBN is corrupt. That is why Jesus mentions "false prophets"

The christian religion specifically has caused more human atrocities than any other faith in the history of mankind. That's why you get so much emnity. By the way, evolution has been proven, to a degree, unlike creationism. I don't hate you for believing in god, by the way, just to clear that up. Lastly, why do prisions have a statistically higher percentage of christians, even considering the per capita difference?

@thatguyted313 "Organized religion" doesn't save anyone. The only freedom from "controlled" religion is by Christ. Check out John 8:32,36

@NoxVulpes Evolution is far from proven if you use the criteria of accepted scientific rules, apart from scientific philosophy. Prisons have a higher ratio of christians for two reasons, some claim it that dont actually follow it, and many are coming to Christ in prison because they have been forced to look at their lives in a very serious way and realize the need for a guiding principle, and forgiveness.

@newscruzer1 You can be in the military and be Christian. Stop demonizing the military. The only reason you are free to say what you please is because people, Christian and non, fought and die for that right and freedom. And Chaplains don't kill anyone. They are one of the few exceptions in the military that don't fire weapons.

If you're in the military killing people, you cannot be a Christian, even by calling you're self one, that does not make you one.

You must be living as a Christian, and a true Christian will not kill another human being,period! For a Chaplin from the USA To say it's ok to kill another Christian some other country is ok is hypocrisy at it's best.

The word Christian, translated, means"Christ follower"

So, to be Christian one would be emulating Christ by teaching his fathers will, going to the people, not some person who calls himself a minister standing in a pulpit preaching to a congregation.

A Christian is a doer of the word, not just someone who likes to get their ear tickled and gives lip service only.

I love the hypocrisy and hatefulness of Christianity, you have nasty hate-filled Americans who embark on a war against innocent Iraqis, which has killed 100's of thousands, and then u have the trashy tattooed covered Christians @ home turf "praying" for the Iraqi ppl LOL!
