Blasting on the Bee Tree permit on Coal River Mountain continues to be halted by two tree sitters, Catherine Ann MacDougal and Becks Kolins. As of Thursday evening, the Bee Tree permit was quiet, and no work appeared to be occurring, according to the sitters.

@fuckyamountains In my experience in the labor movement, our fights were to regain freedom and dignity, which is the least someone deserves when their labor and their community is used to make someone else rich. With this in mind, I feel the connection between the struggle of early coal miners and the environmental movement are clear. You cant have freedom or dignity when youre not paid a fair wage, and you can't have freedom or dignity when the coal company steals your clean air and clean water

Wow, something that causes gastritis.... Alcohol abuse..... Hmmm, is there a connection? And this song is about coal mining and one of the struggles that the early miners went through... It doesn't say a thing about fucking trees or saving the environment!
