Preserving the "nazari" moorish gate from the former middle age boat workshop called "atarazanas" and following the "Eiffel" style from "Les Halles", Joaquín Rucoba, designed the new food market that was opened in 1879. It was named "AlfonsoXII" but everybody knows as "Atarazanas". This superb building is located in Málaga city center, historical precinct.
