Roflme ,Yzerman the greatest captain of all sporting history? based on what? You do realize yzerman was almost traded early in his career . It took yzerman 14 years and a stacked red wing team to win his first cup . We dont even call the " pocket rocket " the greatest player of all time but he has 11 stanley cup rings . There are a ton of nhl captains better than Yzerman in the past ,but you are such a loser homer you wont give them credit where credit is due .

I take it that this juwarriors is a complete retard , first off it is canadians unless you are talking about the montreal canadiens , secondly there isn't a nhl team that doesn't have at least 10 canadians on the roster . boston just won the cup with 18 of them . Euros dont play in the nhl unless they are good enough just like anybody else, they have to earn their roster spot and icetime. roflme is a bit biased I take it ? He doesn't understand the role of a power forward obviously .

@mtmarolla Best captain? Riiiight. Don't even mention him with Yzerman, who is the greatest captain in sporting history. He takes stupid penalties, he fights when he shouldn't, he loses his cool too easily, he takes himself off the ice when he needs to be out there to score. He's a baby, too. He takes temper tantrums like a child.

Also, Messier was a horrible captain. He was arrogant, selfish and a hog. Most overrated captain ever.

@bullfrogb wow. im not even gonna bother arguing with you now but let me clarify my point here. i never said that canadien players are bad. i was pointing out that although many canadien people act like theyre the shit when it comes to hockey (especially in youth hockey), none of their teams have won a cup since 93. and from your responses, i can see not much has changed since i stopped playing hockey against canadien teams. canadiens cant stand non-canadien hockey players. just grow up already
