  • Don't be ignorant guys. Those facial expressions are necessary, each of them gives a different sense, meaning, and sound to what she is singing. You might not be proffessional ppl, but u can try singing something just the way u usually do, an d then try to sing the sam wiht a big smile. You ll hear the difference. Well, now you can imagine what s really going on wiht Cecilia and her Amazing technique. Greetings from Mexico city.

  • Such ignorance on youtube...do you even understand Italian? She's in character. Arias are written specifically forcharacter representations of emotional expression. Barloti is brilliant, it is a joy to hear and watch her. ...Western audiences are too used to sexualized imagery to appreciate real beauty.

  • I love her dynamics so much. And the power of her voice is so wonderful.

  • 8 year old male soprani have more voice than she does. What a farce.

  • its not supposed to be sad its a love song

  • i cried! so incredible!

  • @shelbi75 Yessssss! THANK YOU! So many comments and except for yours, not one about this pianissimo at 1:57 that gives me the goose pimples: coming from a mezzoforte, fourth below, the legato is perfectly audible as her voice sets as softly as a feather on that next note. I'm glad not to be the only one with ears to hear her singing, instead of just eyes, like some folks around here, who seem to want to bann from her face what makes her voice so unique.

    How did your recital go?

  • Brava!

  • Bravo! Very nice interpretation. Loved the dynamic change in measure 22.

  • Perfect absolution

  • A walking flower, heart wringer, friend.
