@kirant You play Fire Emblem too? That series are awesome ^^
On topic: I've tried to play Ibis several times before, but I always gave up after a few missions, partly because I couldn't afford to give Astelion the best parts, only upgrades, and with them, it's nearly impossible for me to level her up as she's always being targeted by all the enemies when I try to come closer. Maybe I should try to take your advice and raise her properly next time. After all, she's one of my favourite xD

@DonQuilolz - She's an excellent pilot...just not a good one to start. I find she holds her own in about 1-2 missions in and becomes a contributing factor 4-5 (Where, in the 3-4 mission range, she's there, but not noticeable). At 30, the stats break. If you play Fire Emblem, it's very much the same as the Est archetypes, except she comes earlier.
Really, just slap an accuracy modifier and some repair/resupply modules on her and she's basically set to be a pretty decent support.

@kirant Yeah, I completely agree with you that Astelion is a wonderful utility mech. If it has enough upgrades on both stats and weapons (especially RaMVs) and some good parts, it can really wreak havoc over a large amount of units. However, it needs a good pilot to be able to do so, and Ibis is just not the correct one (leveling her to 30 as you said is a pretty hard task even if you have upgrades :D). Overall Ibis is a cute girl, but not a good pilot ^^.

@DonQuilolz - Well, Ibis' natural low level stats suck. Once you get to ~30 or so, the formula for her breaks quite ridiculously and she becomes impossible to hit in very short order. If she had a decent boss killing attack, she'd be a late game wrecking ball.
I always throw her in front because RaMVs is one of the best flexible attacks in the game. Ibis makes a natural utility unit that can provide offensive punch as needed (just not a team attack against a boss).

@Jaybotify That's certaily a good way to protect your mothership ^^. But if Astelion is not equipped with proper parts, it will be a mech with very shitty evasion rate, and that can turn out to be disastrous. This is why i could never use Astelion in the front lines (if not at all :D), although it's very powerful
-
@DonQuilolz yep so often saved the hyriuu custom just by having her stay beside it :D
-
@zappercut Yeah. I don't know why but Ibis seems to be a magnet that draws all other mechs to her xD

My fave theme, and I hear it a lot in OG2 cause whenever I play, they always target the Astelion, even though I equipped a Hyper Jammer, G-Territory, and maxed out that sucker's evasion. idk why they aim pointlessly and get owned
-
heh, Ibis, wasn't her stats kinda "magikarp power" ish?
her theme is awesome... ya i'll just come back when i have a good comment..sorry..
Ibis won a saimoe competition? And I thought people didn't have taste.

Gotta love how despite being the type of character to win any kind of competition relating to "moe"-ness, Ibis has one of the most HEROIC themes of the Banpresto originals. I always get so pumped to see her overcome and kick some ass when this song starts up during her attack/evade animations.
