It's a real shame that this version doesn't seem to have ever been produced in its entirety. As good as the version on Johnny Carson is, this is better, her tone a bit lower. I just can't fathom, as an acadamy award contender, how this never made it even to the C & W charts.

@angela8257 There is a video on YouTube of her sing the whole song on the Tonight Show in 1984. UNBELIEVABLE PERFORMANCE. As for CDs, unfortunately, they didn't have Betty Buckley perform Over You on the Tender Mercies soundtrack album. But she did record it for her London Concert CD. I don't think the London Concert version is as good as the soundtrack would have been, but it's better than nothing.
