Just learned most of this song yesterday, and after a few takes, I thought this one was acceptable. I get really nervous around cameras and stuff, so that's why I'm so tense and sloppy.

I plan to do a better version once I can play the song better, and double track the rhythm, and actually record a full cover with my own backing track. The current backing track is a random one I found on the internet, and IMO it's not that great.

Chain:
Ibanez S770pb
mic input on computer
Reaper
Guitar Rig 4
Sperimental's Mesa Tradtional 4x12 #4

Sorry for the crappy video quality. It's a cheap point and shoot camera.

  • would you buy that guitar again?

  • @Ic9us Tough question... I really love it but I'd probably just save up for a Prestige S if possible.

  • Nice how are the stock pickups on this guitar man?

  • @Legatomusic They're alright. They sound like stock pickups, haha. They lack the clarity and tightness of high end pickups but they're not bad. Better than the stock pickups in my old Epiphone,

  • Very nice cover dude! I've subscribed. ;D

  • @aungheinaye thanks man! I'm currently re-recording this song with my Mark IV and with a better backing track. It should be up in a few days.

  • is that a master track? i mean the music in the back ground is "guitarless"?

    where did you get it?

    sorry for bad english

  • Very nice playing! And very cool guitar too. I've really been into this guitar because of the ZR tremolo. I'm studying mechanical engineering, so having ball bearings as pivots for the tremolo just sounded genius to me.

Can you tell me about the sustain on this guitar? Do you know how it compares with a string through guitar with a tone pros bridge? Is there that much of a notable difference? Thanks!

  • @9000Ryan The ZPS stops the other strings going flat when you do double stop bends. And yes it's totally useless if you break a string - the whole guitar goes sharp.

  • It's perfect, I just think it needs more distortion...

  • This sounds great! I can't stop listening to your covers, they are so good! keep up the great work ryan!

  • Nice playing ! :)

  • can you send me the tabs for the last part?? all the silly guitar pro are so pattetic to think that petrucci the harmonics in the same track

  • That was amazing.
