Entoloma Abortivum is a late summer, early fall mushroom. It sometimes comes under attack by the Armillariella Mellea, which turns it into a white blob. However, both are a good edible when fresh.

  • @femalien It's not uncommon to find the non aborted mushrooms around, but most of the time the aborted specimens are there some where. Personally, I like the aborted mushrooms dipped in a batter and deep fried, served with cocktail sauce. They kind of taste like shrimp that way. Just make sure they are hard and firm and not soft and mushy. I live in southern Michigan. Davison, just east of Flint. Thanks for watching !!

  • How common is it to encounter unaborted forms of this mushroom with no aborted forms nearby? What region are you in?
