  • i tried throwing it this way and it doesnt reach the plate and doesnt do anything. how did pedro throw his circle change in the late 90's. i watched the 1999 all star game video here o n youtube and his had a ton of movement

  • @esselborn23 This is one of the more difficult pitches to throw, you have to keep working on it. This is actually a C-change not a circle. When you get better at throwing it, make more of a circle instead of a C and it will have more movement. In the 90"s the braves bullpen mastered this pitch and dominated.

  • Thanks, I used to throw a circle change like a fastball, but now I've switched up the delivery and it is a lot more effective.

  • Looks like his hand is broken at 0:57

  • Yes,This is how you throw it and he is correct many young pitchers say they throw it but they they don,t throw the circle they throw it like a fastball and its now a straight change which will be hit out of the park if not located. You need to throw it as hard as possible it will move right at the end towards a right handed batter about four inches from a right handed pitcher just catching the outside corner-see Greg Maddux.

  • this is good for high school and some college, but after a while, the better hitters will see the C pointed at them and jump all over it

  • My change up i barely grip the ball with all my fingers along the seems. just before i release I turn my hand in and then release. It drops a ton and for a right hander it brakes in on them. its basicly a slower backwards curve

  • no pitch is more effective.

  • Finally someone shows the proper way to actually THROW the circle change! The circle change doesn't work if you don't throw it thumb down and come over the top of the ball so it sinks. It is a difficult pitch to get any power behind while still keeping it secure in your hand. But if you can master this pitch and also have an overpowering fastball? Look out!!!

  • love it
