2012 Rip Curl Pro Men's Final presented by Ford Ranger

Mick Fanning claimed the 2012 Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach over reigning 11-time ASP World Champion Kelly Slater in offshore three-to-five foot waves at Bells Beach. Fanning's classic power surfing proved too much for Kelly Slater's perfect 10 air 360 in the Final.

Mick's basic power-drive surfing was more solid and graceful than Kelly's here, but Kelly was going 'beyond', into another realm of performance, with the airs and 360's. Though I'll give it to Mick with respects to the rarity of such graceful and critical classic power-drive surfing,.. since it is the Bells Beach *Classic*.
