Here in America we the people are like cattle to the mega wealthy they will use us however they can to get richer we not only mine this crap but we burn it and breath it in and drink the polluted water from the acid rain all while they reap all the rewards, they got us right where they want us. We are a very uneducated public to let them do this to us.

In the UK, by and large we use nuclear, despite our large coal reserves. Largely because if the burning of coal can ever be made clean, the mining of it certainly never can.

@ Unclesamslair Yes nuclear energy like everything else on this planet is not infinite, however it the best option. The amount of energy one plant creates is enormous. Granted yes its expensive, put it pays itself back within 10 years. And as long as the nuclear waste is disposed of properly (which currently it is) the pros of nuclear power very much outweigh the cons. And btw what do you think the US should use since you condemn nuclear power?

Hitachi ,Mitsubishi to name a few , Australia is into it . Plasma arc is touch tech . Plasma laser is another that could be used for fusion , both are the old tech , that dose not break down CO2 or even capture pollutants . Except heavy metals and hopefully Arsenic .The shtick :Plasma Arc systems to dispose •Medical Waste •Municipal Solid Waste•Hazardous Waste •Sewage Cake •Food, Oil &Grease •Coal •Sensitive Data ~That is Old Tech
