25 Aprile 1945 a Genova - Siamo i ribelli della montagna

A volte l'edera si abbarbica e nasconde le piccole targhe di marmo murate in tante stradine del mio quartiere, con su scritti i nomi di ragazzi e ragazze, spesso giovanissimi, uccisi durante la guerra di liberazione.
Quando andavo a scuola, da bambina, mi chiedevo chi fossero.
Così un giorno mi raccontarono quella storia...

Questo piccolo pensiero è dedicato, senza retorica nè schieramento, a tutti loro.

"We are the rebels of the mountain" (italian partisan's song)

Some time the ivy hides the little marble's headstones on the walls of my district' roads.
Over there are written the names of the boys and girls killed during the war of liberation from the Nazi-Fascism.
One day, when I was a child and I was going to school, I asked who are the " partisans".
So my father told me their history.

This video is dedicated, with simple gratitude, to all those people that took part in the liberation of Genoa, April 25th, 1945.


Traduction of the text's song:

"From the beautiful cities
gived to the enemy
we avoided a day
on the arid mountains,
looking for freedom
between cliff and cliff
against the slavery
of the land betraied.

We left houses, schools
and factories,
we changed in barrackses
the old farmhouses
we armed the hand with bombs

and the hearts in battle.

On the roads from
the besieged enemy
