I noticed that there was very few demos of this guitar, so I thought I would make one.

Amp used - Line 6 Spider II 15 watt
Since I have absolutely no video editing experience, Ill put all the info down here.

Sorry for the poor sound quality and my poor playing ability. Dont let it deter you from buying this guitar.

First I went through the clean, crunch, and insane settings without the actives on. Then I went back through crunch and insane with the actives on to demonstrate the difference. I didnt use the metal setting because its garbage, and I didnt have the actives on clean because that sounds awful.

Even though the guitar was designed for heavy distortion, it has a very nice clean sound and isnt muddy at all. The neck pickup is almost useless, and on clean its a little muddy sounding so youll want your selector switch in the middle to fix that. Without actives on, distortion isnt that great, but with them on the guitar does exactly what it was made to do. The pickups take any distortion and turn it way up so this guitar is absolutely perfect for metal or similar music. It also sounds good with lower distortion, and can be great for rock and blues. For its low price of $300, this guitar is extremely versatile and if your on a budget, not buying it would be a mistake. I recommend it highly.

Update - Guitar stopped making sound on active setting. Took it in for repair, guy said it's because the guitar has a very cheap input jack. May want to consider that. Other than that, I've never had a single problem.

Update 2- About 3 years after I bought the guitar. The volume nob crackles loudly when turned. I'm sure this is an easy fix that I won't go through because I'm lazy and poor, just making clear that the hardware is definitely cheap. Of course, it was only $300.

  • @DownfallDemon My strings are Ernie Ball Super Slinky's.

  • does this use a preamp or a battery please reply!!!!

  • @kingfanboi It goes through 9vs like you wouldn't believe. I recommend a battery charger. Also a major flaw is the wiring that connects the battery, mine broke at least 3 times already and is in fact broken at the moment. It's easy to solder back on, just very inconvenient.

  • are the frets really thick like Ibanez RGs?

  • @44eelz I've never played an RG, but the frets are jumbo

  • hi!

    Would be a big request:

Can you take pictures of the pickup wiring?

Pickup EpiActive bought, but I can not be connected!

    Please help!

    Thank you, Ati

  • szia!

    Lenne egy nagy kérésem:

Le tudnád fotózni a Pickup bekötését?

Vettem EpiActive Pickup, csak nem tudom bekötni !

    Kérlek segíts !

    Köszönöm, Ati

  • @44eelz Yea, Les pauls feel and appear small. that's Gibson for ya. But this definitely NOT anything like an Ibanez. Ibanez uses really big frets. I'd actually compare these frets more to an SG, or ESP.

  • @TroubleClef2112 really? cuz les paul frets r small, which is why i like em
