I was demonstrating flintknapping at a party when I heard a very enthusiastic woman over my shoulder. She was very eager to try flintknapping for the first time. She is 70 years young and lives in France. She was a delightful student and after easily knocking off her first blade from a kaolin core that was sharp and ready as a perfect knife. She wasted no time moving on to antler work. I would like to travel to France to visit she and her husband, and of course Bernard Ginelli, the master knapper we both admire.
well it's not very hard, when you have a done core in your hands and as good material as the one here. But it's good that you show a little bit of blade core technology, most of americans only replicate blades or arrowheads.
