  • Then You must listen Pointer sisters and not this Robert Gordon version. For me this is the one and only good version but it's just my own opinion.

PS. Bruce Springsteen write this song originally to Elvis but Robert was the first who recorded/performed "Fire"

  • BTW, which year is this performance from? Tnx/Take care/Roland

  • Robert was here in Finland at 2007, October

Thanks to You too, take care :)

  • my mom home ?

  • Robert Gordon's version of "Fire" is glorious.

  • People TALKING during this song? REALLY? The few times I saw RG live we all sat there spellbound and just listened to his voice.

The beautiful, hypnotic quality of this song from the rich vocals to the supple bass line is not to be interrupted by idle chatter.

One time, in Boston in the 80's, Robert stopped the song and had the guy on the mixing board get the monitor levels right then started over from the top.

  • i was there

  • Goll....I'm feeling old.

  • I saw Robert Gordon a few times in NYC 1970s and with Link Wray at the Ritzs Nite Club..... Bruce wrote this for Robert and played piano on Gordon's version.

  • korva on kunkku harmi että yksiheuhkoinen intiaani ei oo mukana säröisine kitaroineen

  • I saw Robert last night at the Abbey Pub in Chicago. Great show, Chris Spedding was really amazing. I've been a fan of Robert's since the late 70's and he can still deliver. His vocals are still fantastic!

  • I saw him last night at Call the Office in London. The show was brilliant!
