@Jimmyleehales just curious, why are you asking? Hes danish so of course he had to learn danish? He had to learn to communicate with people, but someone are missing that skill.

Hans danske er helt fabelagtigt, i betragtning af at han boede så mange år i USA :)
His Danish is absolutely amazing, considering he had lived in the States for so many years :)

Just curious, why would one choose to learn Danish?

I would REALLY recommend this course as it doesn't rely on English -- it immerses you quickly like the Yale/PBS French in Action does. amazon com/Danish-Laer-Tale-Dansk/dp/

I learned Danish 25 years ago as a curiosity after taking German in high school. Since it's in the Germanic group (including Norse) there's a lot of cognates which help.
But, the most important thing to remember is that the Danish invasion of England in the 8th century gave English its grammar. Look at Old English (Beowolf) and it's completely unintelligible.
I took it for a year or two in CA and can still follow along after all this time. I'v only been to Denmark 10-15 days in total.

Comedians nowadays haven´t got the elequey that Borge had.
But still, danish comedians are the most talented of all scandinavian artists by far...
But there will never be another Borge.
Danish, jewish and very , very talented...
He was one of a kind.
His work will not be forgotten. A younger generation rediscovers his awesome sense of humor..
