  • They should have never been allowed to go through puberty.

  • Joe Maphis once told me that Merle was astounded by Larry's ability to hop around "like a cricket on a hot skillet" and stay both in tune, and hit every note "dead on". Watch Merle's expressions as Larry takes his runs; they tell it all. When a musician of Merle Travis's stature reacts the way he does to another musician's playing, that is the highest compliment any musician can give another picker.

  • Holy shit why doesnt this kid get talked about more. He is playing live. LIVE, and perfectly, while spazing out out all over the place. Thats some crazy shit! Looks like he is even crip walkin and doing the running man at one point.

This needs to be seen by the world.

  • The kids had talent back then. I wish I were alive then

  • Far out, can't stop grinning

  • OMG they were talented.

  • This is like the Metallica version compared to the Elvis rendition.

  • @wbelsha Elvis cut his first single in 1954.

  • @TheHitDetector Interesting note, these kids were appearing on House Party Show in 1954, Elvis didn't cut his first single until 1956. Maybe Elvis got his moves from Larry?

  • @TheHitDetector I think this kid could've blown Elvis out of the water. I think it was all about timing and management and other things as to why Elvis was more popular than the others. I really believe there were a lot of rockerbillies back then that were better than Elvis. But it's all water under the bridge now!

  • This is incredible. Awesome in fact. Larry has developed the Presley's left foot over the right foot side way shuffle he is restricted it seems to move from left to right though, albeit a few steps as he is busy singing and his energy packed rest of the explosive stage manoeuvres. Then he plays a mean doubleneck Mosrite he is energy packed. What a star. These two certainly know how to entertain. The music is excellent...Sadly it transpires that they were never developed to full fruition it seems

  • Absolutely stunning ♥♪♪♪♪♥
