The first half of this instructional Video(I had to split it in two parts because it was too large for YT).Here I'm discussing some concepts I use when playing 2-5-1 in a "Minor key". The parallel is drawn here to the Relative- Major key which is very important to know as a soloist. WebSite: http://www.jazzguts.com

  • hey man i just love how you feel your music i mean you enjoy it but not only so but its like if you and the chords youre playing are the same thing.

i feel the music as well, but its my dream to know how to play it like you do although do it with my own feeling.

anyway thanks for your art, we enjoy it so much

  • @kustenwm Thanks, you're right of course, you have to absorb the theory-make it your own and apply to your own style of playing that's the way how it works. All the best with your study,Vic.

  • I really like the way you flow inbetween cords inrelation to each other & find your melodic forms, great job I hope your bless with lots students your truely a gifted guitarist.

  • @Jd22323 Thanks, I've just done a lot of thinking bout logic in Music and came up with many answers that I found just experimenting,a Zen principle I guess,Vic.

  • great stuff as always Vic, keep it up man!!!

  • @dragondix Thanks brother, hope you got something out of it,greetings Vic.

  • Jazzguts, your videos have been a constant source of inspiration for me, especially your take on Cantaloupe island. So please dont give up!

    Thanks a lot!

  • @metalfun111 Focus on a target note (in advance) within the resolving chord and try to make a logic sounding line resolving to it,that might help, cheers Vic.

  • The soloing befuddles me. How to you go from one scale to the next without having a break where you can tell that you are switching scales? That is my biggest problem.
