I talk to people on the phone all day long, and I know what you mean about the H in Wisconsin. Also here we tend to add an "A" at the end of words...For example, my name is Cathy- everyone always says "Cathia?" No, Cathy! or "Pledge" they think I'm saying "pledge-A... I mean, really?

you're from "wiscanson"

@stevenap1988420 Well if you're from the real northern part, we pronounce it as W'sconsin not Wisconsin.

Omg as a German I find it so hard to distinguish all these American accents, you just speak clear American English as far as I can see.

you say wisconsin just fine...but i know what you mean about the H. This girl down the hall from me is from cali and she says wischansin or something wacko. Also, you say bag like a wisconsinite, but i say it too. We say it more like bayg i think...And for all the commenters: yes it is a bubbler and yes it is soda.

It's even more annoying when people try to imitate you and they imitate a Minnesotan. How offensive.

@emotoadly I used to live in the Madison area and I have tons of family there and they all say bubbler.

Clay Mathews flathead? :))

What is this about a bubbler? Lol nobody calls it that in the Madison area; where I live. And that's right only people from wisconsin know how to pronounce it lol

@sonbuhitsunei I'm from the Kenosha area. I definitely call it soda. Pop just sounds stupid. Just about everyone I know though is familiar with the term "bubbler" and it's called that frequently. Surprisingly, I also know why is is referred to as a bubbler. Back in the day, Bubbler was a brand of water fountain, or a model. It's like calling a tissue Kleenex.
